This trial event is Gi and NoGi, submission only, with Team Battle Rounds. Team Battle Rounds are 5 minute matches, and 8 teams will roll in single elimination format.Your team must beat 3 other teams to win the event.Teams must be at least 2 members with a limit of 5, and all must have a VSME account.Team score will be the average of team members VSME scores. To win a Team Battle Round, your team must beat all members in opposing team. The order of the grapplers and gear worn is up to the team to decide. This is part of strategy. If the roll is a tie, we will go into overtime where first point scored wins.Every submission is legal with the exception of scissor take downs, jumping guard, slams, neck cranks and heel hooks for white belts. The match is over when the opponent taps, screams or referee believes to be in danger.White and blue belt matches will be stopped if referee believes submission is locked and close to injury.Minimizing injury is a major priority and we encourage everyone to look out for one another. If you roll out of bounds you will restart in same position.Winning by submission will always yield more points.Winning because your opponent was disqualified, injured or didn’t show up grants you minimal points.Lets keep it clean, professional and friendly. These are statistical rankings which means not every fight is life or death.Good luck to everyone and remember that you always either tap or you learn, now lets ROLL !Winning team will receive an IKIRO gear swag bag to be distributed amongst team members.Males and females can participate.
GAME RULESThis event is both GI and NO GI, submission only, and 5 minute rounds. If the roll is a tie, we will go into overtime where first point scored wins.Every submission is legal with the exception of scissor take downs, jumping guard, slams, neck cranks and heel hooks for white belts. The match is over when the opponent taps, screams or referee believes to be in danger.White and blue belt matches will be stopped if referee believes submission is locked in and close to injury. With the late announcement of the Canadian Combat Alliance's mandate to establish the Canadian representation at the IMMAF World Championships, CCA is facilitating the Canadian National Tryouts 2014. The tournament format will be open to all Provinces without Provincial Qualifiers for this year. Canadian Combat Alliance is grateful for IMMAF's decision in providing this fair and competitive opportunity to qualify a Canadian Team.
Time is limited and an affirmative action is prudent. We request that all entries be submitted and travel plans arranged quickly to minimize costs and ensure accommodations for competitors from all Provinces. We are committed to providing you with high level and quality competition . Canadians are very strong men and women with long-standing dreams and aspirations of competing on a world stage at the Amateur level. IMMAF has laid the groundwork for this progression, empowering all of us to manifest that dream into reality. Let's stand behind this honourable effort in building MMA to heights it deserves.

NATIONALLY RANKED EVENT
All NAGA events are part of the nationwide
ranking system entitled RANKED. Our goal is to determine who the best
grapplers in the country are for various age, gender, and skill levels.
This tournament will be nationally ranked so do not miss your
opportunity to gain points towards a true national title. More details can be found at www.nationallyranked.com.
SANDBAGGERS BEWARE
NAGA works diligently to prevent "sandbagging",
or the practice of fighting down skill levels to ensure one takes home
an award. NAGA has been working with RANKED to track all fighters and
ranked grappling events to produce true "national standings." A
by-product of these standings is our knowledge of who has competed and
at which level. Front door personnel will use RANKED data to determine
whether or not individuals who have fought in past events belong in a
higher skill level (i.e. placed 1st at a prior NAGA event).
The 4th installment of the '32 Man Showdown' is set to fall on us this February 24th. The tournament has showcased many great athletes and mixed martial artists over its time in an Absolute, single elimination grappling tournament. This year we look to call upon the public once again, to crown the Man!
This year we look to pay more attention to the production of the event and showcase the athlete, their biographies, their community and gyms behind them. Entertainment at pure value!
In conjunction with Western Fair District's 'Sport and Recreation Show', you and your family can enjoy everything that the event show has to offer.
If interested in participating in this years event, please email peckerdpromotions@gmail.com
