Alberta Mixed Martial Arts Association is a Non Profit Provincial Sporting Association. AMMAA is actively petitioning the Government of Alberta to be appointed as the Governing body for Amateur MMA in the Province of Alberta. AMMAA represents athletes, coaches and officials. Founded from within the MMA community for the MMA community. The purpose of AMMAA is to further the sport of Amateur MMA by implementing safe regulations, development and training of both coaches and officials, improving the recognition of the sport on all levels, enabling qualification of amateur athletes in Alberta to Provincial, National and International competition under the Canadian Combat Alliance (CCA) and the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
